Further Details
It included a creative consultation day, performance/intervention by Ian Thorley, childrens workshops, home visits, story telling by Martin King, nature walk with a photographer, beside the canal that borders the estate, and afternoon visits with the local luncheon group. The project resulted in a photographic competition, hardback book about the area (with a copy donated to the local museum) and a limited edition multiple/poster for each household of the estate. The printed poster was designed by Heather Connelly featuring photographic images taken on the nature walk by Kit Anderson and a collective narrative written by Jodie Cresswell based upon the conversations and stories that we gathered during our visits luncheon group and other individuals. The project was part of my work as lead artist for Groundwork East Midlands see Creative Regeneration Programme on Projects page for further information.
